Current methods of retrofit are highly labour-intensive and of variable quality. There are not enough skilled workers to meet the challenge. Join founder and CPO Alex Whitcroft and founder and CEO Adam Slader as they discuss off-site external wall insulation (EWI) as a means to tackle the key pain points of fabric retrofit. They will be sharing insights from VundaHaus pilot projects. Their mission is to industrialise home insulation to unlock Zero Emission Homes.

Alex is an award-winning architect and sustainability expert. He is co-director of KIN – developers, architects, community-led housing enablers, and sustainability consultants, specialising in net zero carbon and Passivhaus homes. He is involved in sustainability advocacy and best practice guidance, including the RIBA Sustainable Futures Advisory Group, and LETI (a key contributor to the Climate Emergency Retrofit Guide), and regularly speaks on sustainable construction and community-led development.
