Between 1940-1970 a design trend of ‘mid-century modernism’ took hold across the globe. Architecture, furniture, industrial design and homeware conformed to a sleek modern design aesthetic. With the coming of age of the millennial generation the fascination with 20th century modernism has returned. This talk explores what makes us look back, why certain design trends take hold, and what they might tell us about tastes in the future.
