The new Creative and Critical Practice Seminar Series which started this academic year continues, featuring research and scholarship in progress talks. All welcome!
Team Mocksim is an innovative group addressing various challenges through creative architectural and societal solutions.
In the realm of housing, they propose a groundbreaking approach to the housing crisis by stacking existing bungalows, significantly increasing housing capacity. Their designs incorporate historical elements like Ireland's round towers, not only for aesthetic appeal but also for practical features like security against potential uprisings.
The team extends their projects beyond Ireland, temporarily working on transforming the Eiffel Tower into an aesthetically pleasing and practical structure, incorporating pebbledash and even a water slide. They emphasize the importance of considering environmental concerns and community engagement in architecture.
Team Mocksim also collaborates with political entities, like Ireland's RURAL INDAPPENDIX group, contributing to their branding and manifesto. Their bold proposals include relocating turf from various regions to Offaly and transforming the county into an open-air health spa and addiction recovery clinic.
